about.

Kirsten is a Melbourne-based food stylist, recipe developer and cookbook collaborator with over 15 years of experience across editorial, publishing, advertising and branded content. Known for her calm presence on set and thoughtful approach to styling, she brings a balance of technical expertise and creative instinct to every project.

Her career began behind the scenes on the first season of MasterChef Australia, before moving to the UK to assist acclaimed stylist and author Jody Vassallo on a series of French cookbooks.

Returning to Australia, Kirsten joined Donna Hay Magazine as Food Editor and went on to build a successful freelance career, working across books, magazines and major campaigns. Her clients include Delicious, SBS Feast, Mindfood, Australian Women’s Weekly, Murdoch Books, Hardie Grant, Annie Smithers, David Jones, Kenwood, IKEA, Kellogg’s and Australian Pork.

In 2015, Kirsten became Style Editor at Delicious Magazine Australia, where she spent over seven years shaping the magazine’s visual food identity. During this time, she also co-authored The Pie Project (Hardie Grant) with long-time collaborator Phoebe Wood.

Today, she splits her time between Melbourne, Sydney and beyond… styling cookbooks, creating content for food and lifestyle brands, and mentoring the next generation of food creatives. Recent work has taken her to India, Italy, and soon the United States - styling and storytelling for clients locally and abroad.
